The Parallel Roads of Glen Roy
Visit the mysterious Parallel Roads on the sides of Glen Roy. Before geologists understood the story of the Ice Age, people thought that the lines were built by ancient kings of Scotland. Charles Darwin visited the Parallel Roads in the 19th Century and you can find out what he thought by visiting the Geopark Visitor Centre, Darwin’s Rest, in Roy Bridge. There’s also a café serving lunches, home made cakes, tea and coffee.
