Explore Steall Falls
Regarded as the best short walk in Scotland and one of the ‘must see’ things to do when you are in Fort William.
There are two versions of the walk. Both are reasonably challenging as the path is rocky and uneven. You can park at the very end of Glen Nevis (as far as you can drive along the Glen) and walk for about 45minutes to the falls or you can park at the lower falls and double the walk by walking up the riverside footpath until you reach Paddy’s bridge before crossing over to walk along the road for a few minutes to reach the upper car park.
Return from the falls is back along the same path although the perspective is very different and it doesn’t really feel like your are just retracing your steps.
If you want to walk further there is a track which take you for miles beyond the falls along the glen – so reasonably flat and low lying, just a bit boggy in places.
From mountain top to scenic glen, there is an adventure in Fort William for everyone.
